June 1, 2009, yo!
Let's see......I was awakened at 2:16 a.m. by a text. I will give y'all the exact exchange that went on.
Him: "Im in lakeport, lol"
Me: "And you woke me up because? gee thanks"
Him: "Come have a beer w me, im right up the street"
Me: "No. going back to sleep, had a long day showing and have to work in the morning. call heidi"
Him: "Gn"
Me (cause i was livid): "No place is even open in lakport this late so idk what game youre playing dude. but im pissed that i am awake right now just so you know."
Him: "A friends house across from the park"
I did not respond. So, I finally fell back asleep at around four. Woke up around 7:10 a.m. and figured Boozy the Clown would be asleep! HAHA! Payback!
Me: "You like being woken up too?"
No response. I got up, got the girls ready and drove them to school. Then went to the barn to work, cleaning stalls and taking care of horses. Came back home and was getting myself some lunch together. Tuna sandwich and a big slice of cake. My phone fires off that I have a text.
Him: "I just wanted to hang out w u last night, not a booty call."
Me: "Point was that it was two in the morning. Im still tired and a bit pissed yo."
Him: "My bad, didnt think u'd be all hurt"
Wrong thing to say. The poor boy dug himself a hole he can't ever get out of.
Me: "Im not hurt in any way. Pissed and hurt are not the same. When im hurt i cry. When im pissed i wanna beat ass. Just let me cool down from it yo."
Little shite needs his ass beat. I got online and fiddled around here and at MySpace and Facebook then it was time to pick up my girls. Picked them up, got my softball schedule, and we came home. Changed clothes, picked up their dad and brother then headed for the farm.
Meg and Rin worked together getting Rin's pony, Sassy, ready for Rin's ride. I lunged Sassy then Meg got on bareback and hacked her around walk/trot/canter for a good half hour before Rin got on. Then Rin did some work on the lunge line before I unhooked her and she worked off the line for a bit. While she worked, Meg was in the barn getting Star ready for my ride. After Rin, my two year old son, Jack, got on and had a little lunge line pony ride. Then he rode Sassy all the way back to the barn. With Mom holding the lead on one side and his Daddy walking on the other side. LOL! He did really great. Rode for probably fifteen minutes altogether.
Meg got Star ready and down to the indoor while I made night feed and fed Sassy. Meg rode her walk/trot/canter while their Dad took the two little ones home to make dinner and get them to bed. I went down to the ring to watch Meg for a bit then I got on Star. She really needed that work I think. She was an absolute joy to ride this evening. Forward and smooth. Loved it! LOL!
Meg was getting the gelding she is leasing for the summer, Merlin ready while I rode. As I finished up, they came into the ring. She finally got on him and he took off galloping. She got him back under control and was walking him on the rail. Then he starts galloping and bucking down the long side of the ring. She got him under control again. Iw as no help except to keep saying "whoa" in a soothing tone. I'm his groom. I take care of him five days a week. I love this horse. And he was trying to kill my child. LOL! She got him up to the house and he was okay. I went and got our barn owner and she took them to the indoor. Where Meg was promptly and unceremoniously dumped off. She said her head hurt but I had my doubts. Another girl got on Merlin and worked the snot out of him. I was moving jump standards out of the ring and Meg was glued to my side.
"Meg, I want the truth. Does your ehad really hurt or are you scared of that horse?" I asked.
"I'm so scared of him, Mumma," she said, fat ole tears running down her cheeks.
"You know what I have to do, right?" I said.
She nodded. I had to put her back on him. Or she would be scared. My barn owner put him on a lunge line and gave her a spectacular lunge line lesson. Then Meg went off the line and had a great ride on him. So, we found out we have to lunge the snot out of him before she rides him. Adds another half an hour to the barn routine. LOL! But, my kid still loves her leased horse so.....I'm a sucker.
I still had to do stalls tonight and take care of my horses. My sweet Star was standing through all this drama in her stall waiting for her dinner grain. Poor sweet pony. I will make her a treat tomorrow of some sort. And after she was so good for me today!!!!
Left the barn about 9:00 p.m. Came home, ate dinner (spaghetti and meatballs. It was okay.), checked online places, made this blog. Now, I'm gonna go soak in a hot bath with epsom salts. My shoulders, upper arms, and back are all killing me. And my thighs. Then I'm gonna climb into my bed and there better not be any texts tonight.
I was gonna get pics to go along with this blog (and they would have been some cute, let me tell ya!) but the batteries died in the goshdarn camera!
See y'all tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

Some stuff
Well, I really want to be able to update this daily, if possible. Even if my day is boring to the point of sobbing. I guess I'll start today. With yesterday.
I had my first horse show ever yesterday. Oh, I've been around shows as my daughters have been showing for three years in hunters. But this time, I rode the show. I showed out mare, Star. In Showmanship (nothing out of like, twelve.), Adult Walk/Trot Equitation (5th out of 7), and Adult Walk/Trot Pleasure (6th out of 7 but one DNF'd). I really enjoyed it and have a lot to work on now before the next show in two weeks when both of my girls will be showing as well.
Me and Star heading for the indoor for the last ride before the show.

Me and Star after Equitation with our fifth place ribbon. It's pink which is FABULOUS, IMHO!
See us WAAAYYY down at the end? Waiting for pinning in Equitation.
VERY unflattering pic of us in Equitation.
After the show, we took Star back to the farm and turned her out. Then I literally came home and crashed on the couch after eating VAST quantities of eggs and toast. Woke up, went back to the barn for night chores. Then home to eat and crash on the couch again before stumbling up to my bed, dragging my pillow like a little kid in a cartoon.
That was May 31. I'll blog today tonight. LOL!

Memorial Day
So, we celebrated Memorial Day in a rather unconventional way, I guess. While I would have loved to go to the parade and have a grilling party at home, it wasn't going to happen. See, I don't get days off. LOL! (Yes, I use LOL and other "laughies" A LOT! Don't like it, don't read this! LOL!)
We had to drive out to Northfield to get a load of hay in for my barn owner. Only 25 bales. I love going to this farm because there are always calves and barn cats and the cows. And the smell of sileage and manure just reminds me of my grandparents' farm in New York State when I was a little girl. We chatted with a fellow there for a bit about the lengths we go to with our horses. And how some days, it is so tempting to send them to France for the dinner table. LOL!
Driving back to Belmont to the farm, my sister calls. She is trying to give me directions. I am trying to drive the truck, drink coffee, and hold my cell phone. "Let me give you to Jay," I said. "Why?" she asks, getting all testy. "Because! I'm trying to drink my coffee and drive the truck! Here! Talk to Jay! I ain't got a hand for ya, woman!" I said and passed the phone off. LOL!
We got to the barn and got the hay unloaded. I needed to get a ride in on my mare, Star, as we have a horse show on Sunday. Star was a lazy pig and I looked like crap. All in all, a very cruddy ride. I did the barn chores. I work at the barn Monday through Friday in exchange for boarding my horses there. Do all the stalls, deal with water tanks and buckets, deal with hay, turning in and out. I like the work cause I like working with the horses. It has its days like any job but it is far more enjoyable than any others I've had. LOL!
We came home and I took a shower. Laid down in my bed to dry off and warm up and FELL ASLEEP! GRRR! Hate when that happens. LOL! I had a kinda strange dream about being on the Time Bandit (a boat from Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. Google it. I don't wanna explain right now. LOL!) seeing ocean critters. Like a cooler whale watch, yo. LOL!
I woke up later than I would have wanted to and had to rush to get ready for my nephew's baseball game. We stopped at the barn for night chores on the way and, of course, it couldn't go smoothly. LOL! My older mare was being mental. So, we left home late, then got delayed at the barn, see where this is going?
There were 2 fender benders on the highway on the drive to the baseball game. I freely admit I was cussing. The traffic was ridiculous. Slow drivers in the fast lane........GRRR! (I also growl a good bit.) We finally got to the game in the second inning. My nephew was great. Didn't get out at all, got hit in the head with a wild pitch, and my 2 year old just worships his cousin! LOL! We all ate a whole heaping pile of crap at the game.
Stopped at my sister's house on the way out of town so she could load my children up with snacks. Tried making friends with ehr cat again. Thought I was getting somewhere cause the cat was mewing sweetly. Then I got within three feet and the evil creature started growling at me. I told her she was gonna end up in a very warm place someday with that attitude.
The drive home was largely uneventful as I drifted in and out of consciousness. No, I wasn't driving. LOL! Had to carry my 12 year old into the house as she was asleep. 7 year old walked in and 2 year old wanted to be carried too. LOL! The dog was so excited to see us, he was spinning in his crate and actually moving it around the family room. LOL! Had a salad and went to bed, pretty much.
This is my life. How everloving boring, eh? LOL!

Well, well.....
.....they'll let any idiot have a blog, now won't they!?!
I have some ideas and no idea what the heck I'll do with this thing. One thing I totally always wanna do is make y'all laugh. Hard. And long. Repeatedly. Cause that is how I roll, yo.
I'm a soon-to-be working mom of three in the lovely city of Laconia in the lovely state of New Hampshire. I have 2 horses, a dog, 2 cats, a bunny, and 2 turtles. I dunno what one might wannna know but, if you ask, I just might tell.
